What Pickup i have? SH4 or SH6
Hi, a long time ago i bought a pickup (10 years ago) and i sounds ****ing great.
Now i bought an new guitar and want to put the same pickup in it. But the fault is i didn´t know anymore what kind of pickup it was. From the design aspect it must be a SH4 or SH6. How Could i found out what kind of model it is? on its back only stands DDL ??!?

A few things for sale
I'm really needing Christmas money. I don't have these items with me right now since I'm at college so no pics at the moment, but I can get them when I go home this weekend if anyone is interested in anything.

Help turn my RG into a monstah!!!
Hey my fellow tone brothers. I just got an Rg1570. The guitar is great, the stock pickups however are a little lame. Let me run a couple of combinations by you guy's and I would love some feed back on them. This guitar will be used mostly for high gain crunchy metal riff and lead work. (metallica, pantera, etc.) In the bridge I'm thinking Dimebucker or Distortion and in the neck either a Full shred or another Distortion. Well what do you think? strengths and weakness of these combo's? Thanks in advance for your help. Scott. By the way I have a JB/Jazz combo in another guitar so I'm looking to expand my horizons with the other pickups I have listed.

Pickup choises good for wood?
I had previously planned to purchase a SH-2 Jazz for the neck and a SH-10 Full Shred for my future esven string guitar. I'd just like to make sure that these pickups would work well in the wood of the guitar. I'll mostly likely end up going for a koa body with a quilted maple top, and a 5 piece maple/koa neck. So would those pickups work well in such a guitar?
If it makes any difference i'd be using it for jazz, funk, 70s prog rock type stuff, and metal. Everything basically :P

This Plexitone thing is incredible mixed with my Univox 1246 bass head!
I was going to sell my Univox U1246B but not now. This amp looks like the light blue heads, but is set up like a Marshall with 4 inputs, two volumes, bass, middle, treble, presence. 60 watts, and sounded really nice by itself.

question about wiring
a friend of mine just had a duncan distortion put in a les paul it sounds fine and everything but i took the comtrol plate off the back and noticed they have the red and white wire hooked to the poton the bottom terminal and dont have the black wire hooked up at all. I was wondering if this will damage the pots or anything or if it is fine like it is.

I was wondering if anyone has used this to convert their strat to a hardtail, and if it is worth getting. Thanks from : localhost/www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/361537/
