I’m looking for some amp recommendations. I’ve been looking high and low for a tube amp head, preferably under $800 and no more than $1,000 (amp won’t do me any good if the wife kills me), that will sufficiently cover the musical ground I would like to cover.

Anyone ever buy from this place?
from : localhost/looking for a part that I can't seem to find anywhere else at a decent price. These guys have it listed, and for much cheaper than Allparts, but their site looks like it hasn't been updated in about 10 years. I tried to place an order online, but they have some problems with their ordering system. I can't find any phone number for this place, only an email address. What concerns me is that the address they list for their business is the same address that's given for the web design company who set up the site. The whole thing looks a bit shady, has anyone ever ordered from these guys? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Solo in my generation
I'm playing out on saturaday with some mates, we just threw a band together to play this guys party, not a real band. I'm having some problems with the solo in My Generation by The Who. I think I figured out the first eight bars okay but the next eight I'm stuck on. The guitar seems to drop in the mix (Suppose it is more a bass solo really, I'm just not gonna admit that to the bassist). Does anybody know how to play it? At the minute I'm just playing the backing vocal melody four times and pretending to the rest of the band I know what I'm doing. Y'know, the *talking 'bout my gen-eration* but with double stops. Nobodies noticed yet but it's just a matter of time. Anybody got any tips.

Question about the JB
Hello there! I was just looking to my guitar(it's a 7-string model), and to a picture of the JB model(the 6-string version) in the seymour's website, and i just realized that the JB model has two extra holes, one in each coil, in the side of the pickup, but the JB in my guitar doesn't. So i was wondering if maybe it isn't a JB that is on my guitar(it's a custom built), and was placed by mistake another pickup. But then i looked on the musician's friend site, and their JB(the 7-string) was just like mine, but then 7-string of another site was like the seymour's site.So i know it's a kinda of uniteresting question, but does someone know if all JB's necessarily have those holes? thanks, Filipe

Couple pickups for sale, and some floyd saddles
*EDIT* Hybrid sold...make offers on the rest of the stuff. I have Dimarzio Hybrid that I made out of a Super 3 amp; X2N. It's Zebra and it
registers a lil over 20K on my crappy multimeter. It's really hot raunchy and rude. I think it sounds good, just not my bag at the moment.
