The thread about quot;The Magquot; got me to wondering. I have some quot;cheapyquot; singles that came out of a couple guitars. They are of the bar-magnet-glued-under-pole-piece construction, but they sound pretty good.

I haven't learned all of Vai's version yet, so this is pretty much just improvised.

I'm putting a pair of JB/Jazz pickups in my Washburn Idol and have run into a few challenges.

I got my Twangbanger installed and gigged with it last night but, didn't have a lot of time to adjust the height for maximum effectiveness. Does anyone know what would be a good ballpark heighth adjustment? I use 10-46 string guage and a little higher than average action. Any help would be appreciated. OK so tell me about Mesa matched power tubes. The folks at Mesa seem to think they are the only ones that can produce and match tubes that are suitable for their amps due to the strict bias range. What kind of truth is there to this? I need to replace the power tubes in my F-50. What would you guys recommend? They are 6L6s.
