Hi folks,
I have just seen a NOS Gibson Nighthawk (2-pickup, tobacco sunburst) for a price close to 950 Bucks. As you may know I'm a huge fan of the Gibson The Hawk, and although the Nighthawk is a slightly different beast, I want it too. These birds are not made anymore (not since 1998 or so), and the price seems right to me. Here in the Czech Rep a faded Flying V goes for about 1400 Bucks (new) and a LP Studio for about 1600 Bucks (you know, dealer's margin, customs, value added tax and all that kinda thing).

Ok...Lets say that you could only have one strat and it could only have one pickup. NO BUCKERS!

Which prong is this in the picture closest?
i think that would be the hot, the ground is the one that is closer to the center and usually lower down and it appears to be shorter......the hot is the one more on hte outside and should be a bit longer, the difference should be readily apparent. that prong closest is the hot from what i can tell

So I looked in the little booklet of schematics that comes with pickups you buy from SD. One that cought my eye is one humbucker out of phase

I've decided that I don't want this humbucker anymore, so I'm selling it. I'll let it go for $50 shipped, or the next best offer. It's double black, standard spaced.

Anybody use a split Custom Custom? How do you like it?

Im borrowing a head for the time behind (Marshall JCM800) i got it for another few months while i save up for a brand new head. Im looking for something 1500 and below, something thats loud, has clarity, and can be reliabe, and tube. My Musical Tastes are Saosin, Thursday, Atreyu, In Flames, Dead Poetic, Underoath, The Used, My Chem. Ne suggestions? thanks.

Have Fender Hotrods and they have a killer clean tone. But up around 4 at gigs, the power tubes start to break up.
