Anyone tried this PUP config in a Les Paul?
Pearly Gates neck with a '59 bridge?I've got a brand new zebra PGn layin around. I like it as a neck pup as it's not as woofy as a 59, and I can roll off the tone control to get that quot;womanquot; tone.

Please help me decide on a wah for high gain purposes!
Ok so I have enough cash, but I keep getting overwhelmed by (boutique) wah reviews. I A/B'ed the Morley Bad Horsie 1 and 2, they were good but the amp I tried them with didn't really work with me so I didn't really get to know the high gain sound.

Quarter Pounder
I just replaced my EMG's with the Basslines SPB-3 Quarter Pounder. Not sure I like it. I liked the bright punchy sound of my EMG's and now I'm missing it. Is there any way to get a brighter sound from these passive pups?

Potting ?
I just bought some slick ass new covers I want to put on. I know I'll need to repot these, but is it best to pot the pickup first and then attach the cover or attach the cover then repot?

TASCAM m-30 mixers: Anyone know anything?
I have the opportunity to buy one of these for $75 Canadian. It's used, and from the 70's. Does anyone know anything about the company, or better yet the particular model?

A couple of quot;modsquot; from my scrapbook.
Edit: I've left this post intact for posterity's sake, rather than delete it, but just wanted to let folks know that mod #1 didn't stand the test of time, and I don't recommend it. Mod #2 did, however, and it adds several nice new tones to an HSH configured guitar.

Using an attenuator and a volume boost?
If you use an attenuator with a tube amp, can you still get a volume boost by putting an EQ pedal in the effects loop or by changing channels? Or does the attenuator compress the output of the amp in such a way as to prevent the volume increase?
