No matter how I tweak my Classic 30 my low E just sounds dull. I just had my guitar setup w/ 11-50's and like it a lot better, except the low E. Anyone have any ideas what could be my problem?

JB in Telecaster = no quot;twangquot;?
If I put a JB in a (mex) telecaster will that take away from the twang? Or the will the twang still be there, but more subtle?

Duckbuckers output
I dunno if I am wrong to look at it this way. But in the specifications chart comparing the old and new rails design, it seems as though duckbucker have the lowest output in mV. And in the normal specifications comparing all the pickups, i see that the duckbuckers output is pretty similar to the other rails.
Any advice? my guitar is at a shop being fitted with SSL-3 for the bridge and duckbuckers fer e neck.

Vintage Strat Trem
I've bought a mighty mite ash strat body that's been routed for pickup cavities and the trem cavities, but the screw holes have not been routed. I need to rout the 6 trem screw holes on the vintage strat trem to secure it to the top of the body, but I am in need of some sort of routing diagram. I've searched the net but all I've come up with is the advice quot;go find a vintage spec fender strat and measure itquot;, but I don't know anyone with one and I can't imagine the guitar shops letting me take one apart.

Fishy eBay auction...
This claims to be a 1954 Les Paul that was originally gold, but now it is a burst, yet it says NOTHING about the humbuckers in it...PAF's weren't even invented in 1954....Scam?

Help with new pup's
Hi all, I need some help choosing the right pup's. I have a 93 Japanese Fender Strat Squier, 21 fret that I just love. I have replaced every bit of hardware on this guitar with good quality stuff and replace the cheap imitation Floyd Rose with one made by Schaller. Now it's time to replace all the electronics and I do mean all, pup's, switch's, pots, wiring...Everything. As it sits now it's a SSH set up, dimarzio I believe. It sounds ok but I want to get rid of all the cheap azz stuff and put in good quality, not to say dimarzio is bad but I think I can do better.

Tell me about the SD Allan Holdsworth pickup!
Apparently SD can still make these on request. Did a little research and looks like Jake E Lee used them as well. I understand both bobbins have screw pole pieces, how does this contribute to the tone and dynamics? Is it a higher output pickup? How is it distorted?
