What would a EMG HZ-3 sound like with an Invader in a Jackson dinky? ALDER BODY AND ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD.

i liked the sound of hot rails but my guitar is 2 humbuckers so i cant use it ,i need a pickup in humbucker size sound like hot rails,so what can i get?

I ask because i'm going to put those pickups in a carvin ct6(prs ce22 copy with ebony fretboard). Does anybody have any experience with those pickups split

does anyone know what speakers come stock on this thing? the screw for the back are hidden under the gray fur tolex, and im to lazy to check thanks

Hey guys, I have a nice mid 80's Marshall cab for sale. Angled. It's original white with black grill cloth too! It's in pretty nice shape although it has been touched up with some white spray paint in places. It's a stereo cab. No speakers. I was wondeing if there was a possible way that (using a push/pull pot) I could change the middle setting (on a les paul) from parrellel to series as well as using another 2 pots to split each pickup

so the idea hit me one day that i could perhaps effectively combine the sound of a singlecoil alnico pickup (w/ polepieces) with the larger magnetic field of a blade/rail pup. unfortunately, i've never made or modded pups, so maybe someone out there can help.
my idea in a nutshell:

can anyone suggest any good cheap guitars which will be mostly used for metal. i don't need a tremelo bar or locking nuts or anything but obviously i would like at least one humbucker at the bridge. thinnish neck is preferable. I have ?300 - ?350 to spend. I am looking to play stuff like Megadeth, Children of Bodom, Metallica, Kreator, In Flames and other similar stuff.

well, I got a distortion, a chorus and a noise suppresor and Im GASing for a new pedal to fiddle around with but I just do not know what to get ....

i just did some practice experimenting with different chords and struck a pretty slick funk/jazz groove. I just threw on the metronome and worked different rhythmic patterns while soloing with a jazz/funk progression in my head-loads of fun!
