I know I've fell into this before. You sit home, scour the internet for information, details, secrets and tweaks to make your tone and sound your signature only to find you don't need more than half of the stuff you have. I love buying guitar stuff and playing around with it, but I gotta be honest, I know I could play a whole gig without one effect and no one would know the difference(except me off course!).
Line up all of your distortion, OD and driver pedals but yet play with basically one sound all night(mabey two if you include clean).

I just a got a Fernandes Dragonfly Electric Guitar and it has 2 single coil pickups and 1 humbucker... I wanted to know which Humbucker should i get because i want more power and distortion in the sound...i want to play like iron maiden......the single coils and the humbucker are made by Fernandes and are covered...

I´ve got a lil problem here...
I was jamming today and i realized that when i play single notes, specially when i do it slowly, the sustain sounds too quot;flatquot; for me... it´s hard to explain.

I decided to check out the Manchester Guitar Center today to mess around for a little bit. I finally got to play a Taylor T-5 and I found I really loved a p90 and bigsby equipped Gibson ES-135 (used nonetheless... I loved it). I think I'm just all around a sucker for p90 guitars and a hollowbody w/ p90s might not be too shabby of a guitar to look into in the future

Could the waiting possibly be any longer? It feels like after Thanksgiving before Christmas Day actually gets there when you're a little kid.

I have a '59 neck, and no doubt it is a great pickup for soloing, but a little muddy for rythym. If I swap out the A5 for an A2, what would this do for the sound?
I will try it today, but I want to see if anybody likes this option anyway.

anyone tried boss os-2 overdrive/distortion before? how is it? i find the concept of combining OD and distortion interesting.
