C5/Jazz Clip
I set all my recording stuff back up, so I decided to throw a one-take down, just for fun. No overdubbing, and quite a lot of mistakes, as well as off notes, but oh well; it's late.

Battle of the 10K bridge pickups!
OK this is for the Mahogany Super Strat Project. I have a mahogany guitar with '59s amp; like it but want a setup with more modern tones: a bigger but cleaner PAF sound with a bit more output. Less snarl than the 59s, more roar. This is an all mahogany 25-inch scale strat shape w/ a wilkinson trem.

Hear me blather on like an idiot and play poorly through...
...the POD XTL Live and Atomic Reactor. I figured some of you may wonder how it (the Atomic) sounds. Well, I spent a bit of time tonite sitting on the floor jes goofing around and talking away into my laptop speaker.

humbucker wanted for westone guitar
Hi all, recently purchased a westone paduak guitar on ebay. don't know anything about it but it seems to be a well built guitar. the body is like a 3/4 size strat shape but full size 22 fret neck. it has 1xvol, 1xtone and 2 toggle switches and one bridge humbucker only. the sound is not so good and i would like to replace the humbucker so that on one toggle switch i can switch between full humbucker(with a good full rhythm sound) and single coil ( good lead sound). The second toggle switch could maybe be used to switch to out of phase single coils for a funky sound. mostly play 60/70 rock/pop through a line 6. Would appreciate any ideas for a guitar that has only one pickup being a humbucker in the bridge.

help with floyd rose
i looked through some earlier threads about changing strings on a dloyd rose equipped guitar. i understand the whole process, however the string keeps on sliding out of the string lock screw, no matter how loose or tight i make it. am i doing it too hard and pinching it, or too soft allowing it to slip out?

split one mic to 2 inputs
I record on a computer using a US-122 usb interface by tascam. In order to record you have to have 2 mics to record in stereo if not there is only sound on one side. The mono switch does nothing. I need something that allows me to use on mic and plug into both jacks. I looked at Radio shake for a y adaptor that would allow me to do this but could not find one. Any suggestion? The reason I want to use one mic is I finally bought a shure sm57 and I no longer want to record vocals and guitar with crappy mics.
thanks

DiMarzio Haters
I've noticed that a lot of people have made comments with ambiguous references to DiMarzio's quot;questionable business practices, quot; but I've yet to come across a thread that details what those practices are.
