Looking for a bridge pickup for chunky metal riffs and lead play. What's your take on these two pickups. The RG is basswood, and will be played thru a Valvetronics amp. Thanks for any input. Scott.

Well, the thing is, I have this neck-through mahogny guitar, with 10-52 string gauge... Would I need to adust the truss rod? Because earlier I had regular 10s (10-46 or whatever it is). I'm just wondering cos it would suck to have the neck ruined when it's a neck-trough.

I like the look and feel of the neck and body.So I was thinking of grabbing just those two pieces,pulling the fretboard,filling in the center pick-up cavity and the Floyd cavity,plus all the excess guts and control holes.
Then Refinishing and airbrushing it,doing an ebony board with LED's and some inlay,Feitenizing it,Tonepro's tune-o-matic string through body,oil finish to the back of the neck and Duncans in it.

I was wondering why nobody offers Solid State amp kits?

well, while flipping through the new guitar world i see an ad with joe satriani in it for dimarzio pickups and i notice the pickup shown in the picture has chrome plastic bobbins...very cool....not a chrome cover over them but the actual bobbins are chrome and that most of the dimarzio full size hums will be offered this way now...anyway, this lead me to think can we petition SD to add this color option to their line b/c man it looks killer...better do it before dimarzio turns double chromes into the next double creams lol.

What the reputation of korean made brian moore guitars? I am looking at a IM series with seymour duncan pickups, how do they play? are they good quality?

Since i'm installing some new pickups onto my Epi Les Paul and putting gold covers onto them, is it possible for me to use the gold pole scews already on my Epi pickups or do i have to buy new ones?
