I've got a Neck Jazz, Neck 59, Lil 59, Distortion, Vintage Rails, and Bridge 59. The Lil 59 is the best one. It's awesome. The rest are average. And they all sound the same!!

Pickup size question
Will a Gibson humbucker cover fit a Duncan pickup (neck to neck, bridge to bridge)??? These are 490R/498Ts, and I want to put these gold covers on a Seth Lover set.

Phat Cat?
I was just looking through the tone chart as I'm interested in buying a mahogany slab humbucker guitar and installing some Phat Cats. I've heard so many great things about the Phat Cats here so I thought I'd get in on the action.

Hello! I'm new and I don't know if this question is very usual. I've used the search engine and I haven't found. I'm sorry if it´s an old question.

using flatwounds
What are the advantages/disadvantages? Do i have to adjust the truss rod in my guitar if i change the strings from roundwounds to flatwounds even if i use the same string gauge?

Slanted Humbucker
My Focus 6000 is supposed to arrive tommorrow!!!! i know the bucker is slanted to line to poles up since trem spaced pickups werent around then. When replacing the pickup, should I go with a standard spaced bucker? Prob wouldnt hurt to run a Trem spaced one in there right?Thanks

Pics Of My New Girl !!!!
It's amazing how different the same guitar can look, depending on the light and the angle. There is really no red or yellow on the top....it's Lightburst (says the pickup cavity) and Desertburst according to Gibson. I think it looks Honeyburst....but call it what you want, I love it. Now I just need to find the right color pickguard to install....looks naked!

question about soldering and iorns
I have recently had a little trouble soldering my pick up in and have a couple of questions.
1) isn't the solder supposed to stay on the iorn until you touch it to the place you have fluxed (wire and connection point). The soldier would not stay on the iorn.
