It comes out that my father has made a guitar as a hobby. He doesn't play guitar but he works wood quite nicely . I've tried different pickups on the guitar but I'am not particulary sure which one I like the best. I would like you to suggest what pickups would you use on it only knowing the specs.

FS: Marshall MG100RCD 100w amp head
This is the original MG series head made before Marshall inserted their built-in effects in their amps. 2 channels, effects loop w/ loop level, boost channel has a low/high contour, damn good condition. Bought brand new in late 2000, single owner. I still have the original box, manual, everything minus footswitch (transaction pending).
$200 shipped.

Pickups for a PRS CU22
I recently picked up a 20th Anniversary CU22, which is a killer guitar!!! The Dragon II's it came with are too muddy and undefined for my tastes. Anyone have a favorite PRS replacement pup? I play hard rock/metal and I'm into low/med output pickups.

The Custom is back!!
In my Explorer! I had tried it before and wasnt happy so I converted it to a C5. This was good but the lows were alittle extreme so I tried an Alnico 4 to make a C4. That rolled off some of the lows but kept the same basic eq pattern. I liked the smooth character. I recently got a LP and put some very sweet sounding pups in it. So, I wanted a more rude alternative sO I put back the ceramic magnet in the explorer and now have a ripper! Having alot of fun with it!!

Took the Duncans out of my Mockingbird...
…and put the 490R and 498T from the LP Studio in. I typically don’t like to post pickup reviews so soon after a change, but my first impression is that I might like this combo better than the CCb/SD combo I had before.

Amp troubles
Hey Guys, Im new to this forum and I'm no guitar expert, but I like playing music so I decided to join. Anyways I have a Fender Stage 100, which I think was taken out of commision last year. So about it month ago, when my band and I were playing together the sound went way down, almost to the point where it was barely audible, then sprang back up after like 5 minutes. So this has been reoccouring throughout the past couple months. Anyways we have a string of shows coming up in July and this simply cannot happen. I was going to take it in to this music shop around my house, but the guys there have screwed me over before, so I decided to come to you guys first to see if there is anything I can do before I cough up some money. I have never cranked it up to 10, not even once just for fun. However one of my idiot friends thought it would be a great idea to run a keyboard through it for awhile when I wasn't there. Now as I understand, hitting the low notes on a keyboard is the same as running a bass though a guitar amp, which isn't a good thing. Do you guys think the speaker may be blown, or did i short out some wires. I've tried everything to make sure this problem is with the amp as well, I ran my telecaster, les paul, and strat through it but it kept doing the same thing. I also switched cables at least 5 times. So I'm positive it's a problem with my amp. Could you guys give me a little input as too what is should do? Thanks.Ben.
