What pickups would give me the best bright smooth full articulate jazz humbucker tone a la Phish (Trey Anastasio)...Seths?

Where do the guitar finishing guys in here get their sanding sealer? I went to home depot today and they didnt have squat. any ideas?

Have any of you swapped the A2 magnets in your 490R or 490T to an A5, ceramic, A3 or A4? How about the polepieces? And, where do you buy replacement magnets and polepieces?

Well I got mine installed and well even though it's a TB and I need an SH, here are my impressions. Keep in mind I can only compare it to the Jackson J50BC that was in my Charvel model 4 before the FullShred.

Yeah, pretty much all in the title. I've been trying to nail some of the guitar tones on the new 'Warnings/Promises' album. I'm nowhere close and was wondering if anybody could help if they were familiar with the band. Or if anyone knows of some websites that list different guitarists's setups.

I was watching this item on eBay, but did not bid at $1800. 2 main reasons, it has been setup for a string guage with a .70 at the low E. I was concerned that this would mean a new nut right away. Also, there is no COA provided with the guitar (although the serial number is accurate for a 57 RI). New ones can be had for $1900 or so.

I think I've solved my amp dilema. A U.K. internet shop is selling ex-demo Hot Rod Devilles (4x10) for £500. You still get 1 year's warrenty so I guess the amps are still up to the job. I've never really considered these before so I know very little about them, but I'm getting desperate now. Anything you can let me know about these amps would be greatly appreciated.

With the exception of pulling out most of the stock pickups out of every guitar I own for Duncans,I've gone from using higher wound pickups,back to vintage winds...

Not heard much about these amps, but they seem to be getting a few good crits here and there... so what's the story, knowledgable people? What's their sound like interms of fender, marshall, mesa, vox, etc etc and what kinda music can you use them for??

Between classes Fed Ex brought my The Governor speakers. I have to say they are SWEET! Compared to the stock speakers they are much fuller and have a lot more character. As these are the fist set of aftermarket speakers I've ever bought I don't have anything to compare it to besides the no name speaker it repalced. However, I will say one thing, the governors are as they say on the eminence site quot;Raunchy with alot of midsquot; And mids galore. With my TSL, I was getting some cool sounding, middy Randy Roads tone with the eqs all set on 5. When I lowered the trebble to about 4, the mid to about 3 and the bass up to about 6.5, it sounded a little like some darkness 'thing called love' mixed with some Zakk Wyle early Ozzy stuff. Very cool speakers and now I want to order 2 more speakers to wire to them

What is IYO the best control set-up for a strat?
