I've been out in guitar shops around Manchester every weekend since the last weekend of October. I've been searching, for the one. I've been searching, for a strat with mojo.

Swimming Pool Route
I would like to hear some thoughts on the routing of the pickup cavity. Swimming pool route versus conventional. I would guess from a physical stand point there wouldn't be any differance as long as the electricals don't touch the body. From a weight point of view, it would be lighter. I was wondering more about the sound? Any Ideas?

Balanced?
Forgive a dumb question...I'm trying to decide on replacement pickups but I have a basic question. Would you consider a mahogany/maple cap body with a bolt on maple / rosewood neck to be a balanced sounding guitar? It has a fixed bridge..a wrap around tune-o-matic / stop tail piece all in one type thing.

Searching for the perfect Les Paul set. Have 2 gold cover JBs and an as new zebra Pearly Gates set (n amp; b). Let me know what you have--I like all sorts of guitar toys but as far as pickups go, I'm looking for a lower output, classic '59 style set; '59, Seth Lovers, burstbuckers...

Advice on a humbucker for a lee oskar harmonica
I am an old timer harp player. I want to build a humbucker pickup fit for a lee oskar diatonic harmonica so I can achieve one of my life's goals of playing through a marshall stack really loud.

Martin 0-15 Circa 1949-1950
I got to pick up the guitar that belonged to my Dad's best friend. It's a really, really old 0-15, looks like it's had its share of dings and war stories. Howard, the previous owner, bought it new. We used to sit around the deer camp, drinking and singing songs (at least until we'd forget the lyrics). That man was like an uncle to me.

Gamp;L ASAT necks
What are the necks like on Gamp;L ASATs? Are they a C, U, or V shape? Chunky, thin? The fretboard radii on the website says 7.25 but alot of ones on ebay claim 9. Anyone able to shed some light?

Does anyone know what year these Duncans were made?
These pups were in a box of parts purchased in Jan. 1982. All the other Duncans are zebra or black and didn't have braided leads.
