The cell value for A1 is quot;POTATOquot;

I want to plug in the value of A1 (Potato) into this url as a value

The cell value for A2 is www.someurl.com/some.php?q=[THE CONTENT
OF A1]...
How can I achieve this?

Normally, I'd just put =A1 but since I've got other text in the cell,
that doesn't work.....--
