I've put together a spread sheet, it works good the problem is when I
put in something like 6 / 16 it automatically does the formula for it
and when I put something like 10/10 it will put the date in as 10-Oct.
How do I make the spread sheet take the data as entered and not do this
formatting for me.--

Have you made sure that the cell is formatted for numbers, and not
dates?--
