i have a page that has information that i want to sort. the sorting of
the information is no problem however i want it to happen automatically
when i leave that worksheet to go to a summary page. any ideas?--

Copy the code of your sorting macro into the Worksheet_Deactivate
function attached to the sheet that contains the data to be sorted.

Tools gt; Macro gt; Visual Basic Editor

In the top left window of the interface double click the sheet that has
your data.

From the lefthand dropdown menu select Worksheet
From the righthand dropdown menu select Deactivate--
