It would be useful if I could use custom filters (the same as in Autofilter)
on pivot table Row/Column/Page fields rather than only being able to
select/deselect item by item.
My example was when using pivot tables for analysis on part-codes. I have
thousands of part codes and wanted to be able to filter the pivot table to
show only those containing quot;FGquot; in the number (finished goods) as there are
hundreds of these codes then selecting them line by line is not feasable.
Adding new columns to my data to work-round this is not the ideal way of
doing it (although it does work). I would like to be able to use data
extracted directly from my operational system rather than exported to excel amp;
manipulated, as this means the data is not always quot;livequot;
