Hi , I´d like to know how to solve the following problem, I have a
column of numbers and I want to multiply each number in the column by
a constant, for example 2. And get the result in the same place as the
previous numbers.

Thanks for your helpStick 2 in an unused cell.
select that cell
edit|copy
select your range to adjust

Edit|paste special|check Multiply

clean up that helper cell with the 2 in it.

View this thread: www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=533593One simple way is to copy your constant down all the rows in the column next
to your values, then copy a formula of constant cell times value cell in the
next column, then copy the results and paste them over the values. WHEN YOU
PASTE, USE PASTE SPE;CIAL and then only paste values. This way they will
replace the original values. Personally, I would consider copying the
original values into another column so that they are still available
afterwards in case you need them. If this procedure is going to be done over
and over again, you can also make a short macro to do it automatically. Good
Luck
