In this version, the favorites folder does not automatically appear. I have
followed the instructions from the discussion group on how to add it to the
quot;my placesquot; bar.

How do I save files into this quot;favoritesquot; folder now? It is no longer a
right-click option or an option under tools on the open window? Is there a
quick way to do this other than creating a shortcut and then cutting that
shortcut and placing it in the folder?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Leigh Ann

In Excel: Tools, Options, General Tab, and change the Default file location
to the folder you want. Do NOT mess with the next line, Alternative startup
file location. Excel looks there and opens every file it sees.
I think my message may be a bit confusing - I don't want to actually save the
file there - just the shortcut to the file. Does your response still apply
or were the instructions to save the actual file to that location?
Thanks - Leigh Ann
