I need to change the whole orientation of my spreadsheets... columns to rows
AND rows to columns - does anyone know of a quick way, or do I have to
transpose all the information individually.
Thanks
Have you tried this?:
Select your range
Editgt;Copy
Select a cell outside of your range
Editgt;Paste Specialgt;Transpose
Does that help?

Maybe there is a more elegant way of accomplishinging what you want. But
the following approach should work.
Let's assume that your data are in Sheet1.
Create a blank worksheet (quot;Insertquot; --gt; quot;Worksheetquot;).
In A1 of that worksheet, enter the following formula, and auto-fill across
columns and down rows, to accommodate the transposed data.
=IF(OFFSET(Sheet1!$A$1,COLUMN()-1,ROW()-1)=quot;quot;,quot;quot;,OFFSET(Sheet1!$A$1,COLUMN()-1,ROW()-1))
The new sheet is still linked to the original sheet. To make it
stand-alone, select and copy the entire area of the new sheet, then quot;Editquot;
--gt; quot;Paste Specialquot; --gt; quot;Valuesquot; --gt; quot;OKquot;

Thanks - of course this seems to lose all formats, but I guess I can re-do
them.
