Hi there,
I'm trying to do something a bit clever with Excel, and i'm unsure as
to whether or not this is possible.
i have a main sheet with place names in the first column and additional
info in the other columns. i then have 26 other worksheets named a..z
I want to write some code in each of the worksheets named a..z that
will display the values from the main worksheet, provided that the
first column starts with the letter of the sheet.
I'm more than happy to write out the code 26 times, but was wondering
how ths can be done??please help ...Hi!
gt; I want to write some code
Does that mean you want this to be a VBA solution?
I have a file that does this using formulas.
I have a sample file that I put together for someone else who wanted to do
basically the same thing except that instead of having 26 sheets from A-Z
they wanted sheets for the groups A-K, L-S and T-Z. This is done with
formulas and could easily be modified for the individual letters. In fact,
only having to search for a single letter would make the formulas less
quot;complexquot;.
Interested?
