I am importing data from a web page into an excel worksheet. This data
contains hyperlinks, when I paste it in Excel I want to copy only the text,
not the hyperlinks. How can I do this? I tried the Paste Special Options, but
HTML keeps the hyperlinks, and plain text looses the format.

Thanks in advance

Hi Emece,
The easiest way is to just let the hyperlinks get generated or copied then
remove them at one shot from the columns you want them to be removed from.
See www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel...#DelHyperlinks

If you have Excel 2002 you might suppress hyperlink generation under
the Auto Correct from the Tools menu.
Tools (menu), Autocorrect Options, Autoformat as you type (Tab).
but then you will lose the ability to create them automatically when you
might want them. If it does work for copy and paste you still have the macro.
