I have a 2x12 marshall cab and a 100 watt marshall amp. Each speaker is rated at 75 watts, so a total of 150 watts. I was wondering if I changed my speakers to greenbacks at 25w what would happen? If I did that the total output would be 50w, so my amp would output 100 watts through only 50 watt total output Would playing my marshall through those blow my speakers if I had them changed to the greenbacks?

I've noticed recently that when I turn down the gain channel on my amp, and it's gone down more and more with each passing month, the tone from my guitar gets more pronounced. The other thing is that, and this is the cool part, the lower gain doesn't really affect how the distortion sounds.
I actually sound better with less gain!

1999 Fender Japan (CIJ) Stratocaster ’71 Reissue (Model ST71-85TX) in beautiful natural ash and maple fretboard. It’s in excellent condition with some serious upgrades. This is one of the FJ top of the line models and currently costs over $700 new from Ishibashi shipped to the US, but comes with a cheapo unpadded gig bag. This model has the big Fender headstock, medium jumbo frets, and Schaller tuners.

I was wondering if anyone has seen any new Singlecuts out yet. My local PRS dealer said they wouldn't get any until at leasst February. I was wondering if any bigger shops have got them yet.

Anyone have any experience with one of these? I've seen a couple 2nd hand and was just wondering what the general consensus as on them. Any thoughts welcome.

Had my amp over at Splawn Guitars for some minor repair, and a facelift. They are working on my 4x12 cab, it will match the combo, and should be done on Friday. I love the look of Cane grillcloth much more than the standard black, or even the Salt amp; Pepper, although Samp;P runs a close second. The pictures make the cane look darker than it actually is.

So what's the argument, a lot of people say the neck humbucker on a LP style guitar sounds better with a 22 fret neck because it's not pushed back farther like on a 24 fret neck. Is this bogus? Is the difference neglibible or is it a real phenomenon?
