Here's the deal. Right now I have a Laney AOR30. It's a good amp but it needs new tubes BAD. They're totally shot. The cost of the retubing plus biasing probably would be around 70 pounds. Because the amp is so big in size, I can't bring it to band practises, or move it around. So all I do with it now is use its effects loop for the POD.

Dilema.... retubing vs smaller, handier amp...

P-90 covers?
I've been looking all over for replacement P-90 covers. I know I've seen them for cheap before, but I can only find one place that sells them online....$13, no thanks.

wow...now that's a nice profit...
i was watching this les paul on ebay since it was kinda cool and odd with a bit of a zakk wylde vibe and had some potential IMO...anyway looking at the sellers past auctions, he won it on ebay for $610 a few months ago and now it just sold for $1251.11...not bad over double the cash for a burnt les paul...

Covered Custom 5
This pickup was in my Les Paul for about 3 months and has been sitting on the shelf since, it's a great pickup but I sold the guitar and I have nothing else to put it in. Selling price is $55.00.

evolution vs JB?
I heard some real good things from another guitarist who WAS a HUGE EMG 81 fan.
he said after hearing the evolution he switched over from the 81 to it in his guitars?

What exactly does *spongy* mean?
I hear this whenever someone talks about Alnico II. I have a Seth, so I'm familiar with A2, but I still have no idea what quality of this pickup is being described.

wide neck pickup coverage
Hi! new to forum, I've had, wide neck guitar-2 3/4quot; at the nut, made. I am a 5 string bassist, who wants to play the blues. this width neck, makes pretty much straight string runs, I'm looking for wide coverage pickups, so the e strings don't fade on bends. I've used lace sensor, kinman, but not enough coverage. Will 7 string pickups work? It seems the poles will never line up, how will that affect sound. Not much on metal, so, rails seem out.
seymour tech. says trembuckers have most coverage and spread. anybody using them for blues, etc. thanks

Did some magnet swapping: A4/59
I got my A4 from Lew, (thanks Lew), to try in my 59, and since I had the A5 out of the 59, decided to try it in my Distortion neck.
