i was watching this les paul on ebay since it was kinda cool and odd with a bit of a zakk wylde vibe and had some potential IMO...anyway looking at the sellers past auctions, he won it on ebay for $610 a few months ago and now it just sold for $1251.11...not bad over double the cash for a burnt les paul...

Some moron screwed themself on that auction. It says Les Paul Custom on it....it's not. It looks like a some type of Les Paul Studio. I don't see any binding. Also, it doesn't even come with a hardshell case. Yeah, that dude that sold it got lucky!!

Yeah, I noticed that too.....
....that, and how do you get something quot;professionallyquot; burnt?

If the guy who burnt it got paid, I suppose that makes it professional
yup the buyer got screwed for sure...at $610 for a burnt studio with gold hardware and emgs it wasn't a bad deal at 1200 it just lost all its charm lol. oh and by custom i think he ment customized not a custom model.

quot;There is some quot;quot;buckle rashquot; (scratches) on the back of the guitar, but they aren't visible to others when you're performing.quot;
I can just imagine if he hadn't mentioned this... quot;Yeah, I got the guitar, the front of it is toasted, but he never told me about the belt-buckle marks on the back.quot;

yeah if you buy a burnt guitar your buying it for that burnt/relic look, i don't think and buckle rash or chips/scratches matter at this point lol.

Check the headstock....someone stuck a Custom's truss rod cover on a Studio...
I always liked that burnt vintage sunburst Les Paul that Gilby Clark played. This one doesn't look good in my opinion.

yeah, that's what I was referring to originally.
ahhh i see what you mean but i took it as him putting it on implying that it was customized not as in the custom model as i said...only a fool would think it's a custom and only a bigger fool would burn a custom lol.

it looks like somebody pooped on it
First thing I noticed it that it wasn't a custom! Where is the binding on the neck? ha ha
The truss rod cover says custom....somebody that doesn't know much about guitars bought that obviously.
BTW thats definately a studio and it's original 600 dollar bid originally won is about the price for it. At least I'd by it for that price. I love my studio it plays just like a standard.
Whoa! everyone is looking for binding to be a custom? The first I noticed was the lack of Diamond inlay on the headstock. And having trap inlays instead of blocks.
Either way, the buyer got a royal screwin on that one.
Hell maybe I should start quot;professionallyquot; burning my guitars and selling them?
You can professionally burn guitars... take a look:
from : localhost/all 'professionally' burnt.. and looks damn good to IMO.
for that amount of money , you can get a new LP studio right?

I've always loved the look of the BSB JEM. I used to go to a shop to look at it and the price blew me away everytime ... until the shop closed.
But I'd NEVER get a burn job on a LP. As much as I love Zakk Wylde and his guitars, I'd never do something like this to my own guitar...
