Ok guys, I'd like to see pics of your pedal boards.
I'm getting some pedals soon and have been thinking of placement/case design ideas.
At the moment I'm thinking checkerplate aluminium, but I'd like to see what you guys have done!
So, post your pics! thx!
Oh come on this is just sad..
isnt there a thread on this not long ago? i got 1 DIY fuzz and i multiFX ATM so it doesnt count as pedalboard. lol.
Last week....
Okay, Okay, here is one. but no heckling, I have already heard ALL about the size.
I wanted something kind of like a pallete. were I could put all of my pedals and try stuff out. I have a smaller one that is similar in style
Signal chain: guitar -gt; Pro Analog Supaquack (housed in a vintage Crybaby wah case) -gt; Pro Analog Dual Drive -gt; Clay Jones OD -gt; Hughes amp; Kettner Replex -gt; Peterson Strobostomp -gt; ISP Decimator -gt; amp
The footswitch in the bottom left hand corner is the stock one to switch channels on my Fargen Epic 30 DC.
My first pedalboard, circa 1981. All power and signal wiring is under the aluminum top, soldered right onto the jacks. Not flexible, but bulletproof.A later model, mid-80's. The important thing I had learned by this time was PLACEMENT. For example, I used the chorus a lot, but never with the flanger. Putting them side-by-side let me turn the chorus off and flanger on with one stomp. Similarly, we played a lot of Police covers, so I used the flanger and delay together a lot. The delay next to the flanger was the one set up for Andy-Summers-style rhythmic repeats. The other delay was for the shorter slapback effects.
Remember, your signal path and your layout do not have to be the same.
I'm working on what I hope will be the last version of this board, ever right now. Too many pedals made the layout less than perfect, so I had to add a loop switch to get that flanger/delay combo with a single stomp. Pics soon.

Chris, what's that black/yellow swirl pedal? I also want that Replex!
54Stratlover's Fulltone Deja II is a cool one too!
Anyway, here's mine. It's a little more scratched up, now that I've used it in this form for the past 3 years. The signal is true bypass from the Clyde Deluxe to the exit, the Fulltone Choral Flange. The Line 6's and tuner can be brought into the loop via the pink loop box. It's nice to be able to setup sounds on the L6's, then bring them in with one button in the front of the pedalboard. There's also a Voodoo PPII under the shelf and green zipties bracing all the cabling down.54stratlover, Whats the signal path? and have you ever tuned everything on at once?

The color's a bit off due to the old 33mm slide and the scanner. The green tinge isn't real, but the true gold color was bad enough. Last I knew, that rug was still in my old bedroom at Dad's house, but it's been many years. Originally Posted by 54stratlover...no heckling...

wow....GJ must have serious lag or something...Or maybe he didn't see his top post.

I have run many of them at once, I start with a VHT valvulator, and that gives me the ability to run a few more at once. I will have to get back to you on the signal path

The black/yellow swirly thing is a Clay Jones Overdrive (as Fretfire pointed out ). It's the best sounding overdrive I've honestly ever heard. It's amp-like, but has gobs of sustain and overdrive on tap. I use it for a lot of Dumble type stuff (Robben Ford, Santana etc.) Sadly, there was only 50 ever made (mine's #8), but within the next year, Clay will probably have another pedal designer produce more.
The Replex is SWEET! I got mine a few weeks ago for a very good price. I just put in an IEC Mullard 12au7 in it and it's heavenly. If you like analog delays like the Echoplex (which it is based on and many have mentioned practically nails), you'll love it. Only downside is the space it takes up (you can see just how much it uses up if you compare it to the others on my board). Still, I have a medium length delay, a slapback delay and a decent reverb all on tap with true bypass nonetheless, so I'm one very happy camper
