I have a Dean Hardtail Select and im almost positive Im sticking these pickups in my guitar, I just wanted to ask a few questions before making the purchase.
Id like this guitar to be able to handle a few things.

Does anyone have any tips or good websites for setting up a guitar?

Hey guys, I redid To Live is to Die off of the And Justice for All album, I did it for a guitar battle on a different site, and I wanted you guys to tell me what to improve, redo, and tell me what I played well (If I played well). Aside from production (the drums and bass sound muffled), please give me some tips.

A couple of years ago, Ibanez was manufacturing a guitar that was in their Jem series; I believe. It had some very distinct characteristics.

I'm sure a lot of people have already heard about this, but I thought I'd make a real thread about it to keep all the thoughts in one place.

Kinda a random thought, I was just listening to bold as love and at around 1:46 he starts the solo then at 1:50 it sounds like he turns his guitar volume up, which distorts it into that glorious super sludgy sound for the solo.
Obviously, when he flipped the guitar upside down the slanted bridge pickup, became slanted the other way. I've heard alot of people say that that had an effect on his tone. Well, in the bold as love solo, was he using the upside down slanted bridge pickup to get that sound? or was it just the neck pickup?

Man, I've been on a roll lately! I got inspired to play some stuff in the vein of camel yesterday after deciding the title track to rajaz is the best song ever written. I couldn't do it justice with a cover so I made a much crappier prog song of my own. Singing and all though the lyrics are pretty cheesey.
