just wanted to get some basic or any info on what splittin humbuckers does, how is it used, what kinds of mods does it require, etc.. Any feedback would be great.

Does anyone have a schematic to do this?

Hey guys, I've run into a little bit of a wall here. I'm using the JB in bridge for my Les Paul Custom and SG guitars (Mahogany bodies) and they sound pretty good. They are a little ear piercing in the highs for solos though. I have these cheap EMG select pickups in my Dean Custom guitar (Alder, Rosewood, bolt-on) and I play a style in between Melodic Punk and Power Metal. I do a lot of shredding, pentatonic licks, and power metal melodies (Malmsteen, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Avenged Sevenfold, Stratovarius, etc.). I notice that they have this certain quot;glow to their solosquot; and a lot of bite to their shredding and riffing, and in my Dean, I'm afraid that JB might be a little too harsh on the highs. Does the custom do pinch harmonics and tapping well also, or is the output too low? Any opinions or suggestions? thanks!

I want to get an all purpose wah and the Vox V847 sounds nice and I'm pretty sure I've seen good things about it around here somewhere I just want to see what people have to say before I go and blow my money on one.

I think I remember reading somewhere that they're handwound... is this true? Do they have all the 3d texture amp; overtones commonly associated with handwound p/u's?

I am thinking about buying one with the 3 brass saddles and then buying a set of the compensated saddles for it. has anyone here used these bridges i have read a few things about bridges not being made of good metal and not having as much sustain and output. so i was wondering if these were any good since they are so much cheaper than some of the other ones i looked at.
