85 dollars??!?!! GOD!!
For those of you who didn't already know... do not take your guitar to guitar center, ever. I just learned the hard way. I didn't wanna bother looking for a private tech or smaller shop so I took it in to get a new nut and a setup but they were supposed to call and QUOTE me a price before doing it. I get a call today- quot;your guitar is ready, it plays great. the total is 85 dollars.quot; 85 dollar setup on a 200 dollar guitar... wow makes sense. For that price I could have gotten a fret level! Good job gc, you just lost my bussiness permanently. Well, except for taking advantage of my friends employee discount but that goes without saying :P

Jimmy page
Which pickup is closer to the jimmy page sound, The pearly gates or the 59'? Or will both give me a pretty decent representation?

Pickup suggestions for Ibanez S2075FW
I'm definitely in the market for a new bridge pickup. The stock one just doesn't cut it. Since the guitar is so slim, it just seems like there is no way to get a heavy sound of out it. Maybe there isn't. I play through a Mesa Dual Rectifier, but there seems to be no hope for that guitar as is. Also, what is a trembucker? I guess that it has something to do with floating bridges? Anyway, the link to my guitar is as follows:

Seth microphonic squeal???
How big of a problem is microphonic feedback with the Seths? Everyone says quot;it only happens under high gainquot;, but high gain is a relative term. High gain to a blues/rock player and high gain to a death metal player are two totally different things!

Noisy High Gain Amps
Is it me or is there way too many overly noisey higain tube amps on the market these days...? I have been trying Marshall 2000 series combos, Traynor Combos and some others and the over all hum and buzz is extremely loud! My 5150 is much more souped up than those amps and is much quieter.... What do you think is up with these new higain amps being so noisey? Are they trying to save money by not using stuff to quiet them down?

The Stratocaster in 1954
Who knows the history and the economics? How much did a new strat cost in 1954 or 1962? How much would it have cost today? I'm guessing that the first release strat would cost about $1000 or less in today's USD's.
