I recently got an 89 fender HM strat, and it's been very well used. the fingerboard is very dark from years of finger dirt, and the back of the neck has similar wear patches.

I finally bought a quot;realquot; strat!
Happened into a music store in Phoenix, picked up a blonde '95 Mexican-made Fender quot;50th Anniversaryquot; strat with 3 single coils (for $349). Had to get it. And here I was sort of saving up for a Light Ash strat (the one with the pups). This is my first quot;realquot; strat - all my previous so-called strats have had humbuckers in the bridge. I don't know if I got a sweet deal or not, but I think I morphed into Richie Blackmore for a minute or two when I started playing it in the store, so I had to go with it. Anyone know more about the model? I realize it's not an American, but my gut reaction was to not let it go. It feels and looks very vintage, unlike the Light Ash line, which to me looks very modern and unvintage (but nice nonetheless).

HSH with duckbucker schematic
I need a diagram for an HSH guitar with a duckbucker being the single-coil (and the neck humbucker is a 2 conductor with braids). It has one volume, one tone, and a 5-way switch.

How2 Increase sustain? Rg1570
Hi.
Im wondering how I might increase my amount of sustain on my Rg1570. It has a low-profile floating tremolo. And the neck is pretty darn thin.

Strings Hitting Tonepros Bridge
Hey everyone,
My shecter c-1 classic has a tonepros bridge with a string-through body. I saw on a post a few weeks back that if the strings rest on the edge of the bridge it kills your sustain. So i looked at mine and noticed that my strings rest on the bridge. Then at a friends house today, i played his ESP with a similar bridge and string through and noticed that the sound was much better and the notes sustained longer even when it wasn't plugged in. Is there a way to fix this? from looking at the deal, i can't really figure out a way to get the string to only rest on the intonation adjuster. Here's a link to a pic that shows my problem (every string rests on the corner of the bridge).

Does anyone like...
Is there anyone who actually likes Gibson Humbuckers? (I.E. 490, 500T, Burstbuckers, 57 classic, etc.)

splice shrink sleeving
With Dimarzio pups, the white and black are always wired together. I fortunate enough to find a Dimarzio diagram, and it has has the Bamp;W wires running to a splice shrink sleeving. Now if a person doesnt have a few SSS layin around, whats a good alternative? or can the Bamp;W wires be wired to somethin else to compensate?
