I know the custom is a ceramic and JB A5 but how do they compare inquot;

On the Duncan Pick-ups, can the individual poles be changed to another pick-up as long as its a Duncan? Or is there a issue with this? I put a set of 59/JB's in a Shecter Semi-Hollow [Sound and look great] only thing is the pups I removed had Gold-Poles, where-as the ones I put in are silver? Is there a problem changing the poles one at a time?

so i finally went through with it and bought the spector ive been eyeing up since august. man....it kicks ass. and i got a killer deal on it. last time i played it there, in september, it was $600 or $620 or something like that. i walk in today, and its $420. i guess there was a sale or something. also, a case for it is normally $120. i got the guy to bring the bass down to $380 i think it was, case to $85, a free pack of flatwounds, and a free cable. i spent $500 total, including tax. id say it was a hell of a bargain. the funny thing is, they actually had two of em in the store. the other one had a much more emphasized top and was i suppose you could say the more visually appealing of the two....but damn does mine sound worlds better. the difference was night and day. the other one was really thin and weak sounding, but mine is ballsy as all hell and just has a huge thick tone. i guess that really showcases the whole quot;try before you buyquot; thing. anyhow, as promised, pics.......

Wondering what the differences are between a front loaded speakers /sealed back 4x12 (vs) Rear loaded speakers Mesa type cab with a screwed on backplate. If both cabs are made of the same birch plywood would the sealed back cab be brighter etc. What are the tonal differences?

I'm looking at getting a Randall rg200g2. I have not located one in my area to play. Anybody have any opinions besides quot;get a tube ampquot;.

Hey Guys,I went into my local guitar shop the other day with the intention of finding out what all the fuss is about with this Ibanez Tube Screamer.. but unfortunatly they were sold out! So i asked if theres anything that could contend with the TS and the bloke let me try out a Marshall Jackhammer and I was very impressed at the range of tones avalible.

I'm thinking of either buying a Les Paul or a Godin LG signature. From what I've gathered, the LG is the Les Paul of the Godin serie. But does it sound close to a Paul? I heard that Gibsons are not what they used to be and I'm pretty sure that the quality of Godin is better. The price of a LG signature is almost half the price of a Les Paul. Still, a Gibson is ever so tempting... What do you guys think?
