well, the quot;odiecasterquot; is done. it's made up of fender replacement neck i had odie do TONS of work on (see other thread for more info...thanks Dave!!) the body is an alder NOS Schecter USA strat body with THE BEST heel design on a strat ever (see pic, it just rocks)!! the guard is warmoth as usual, pickups (for now) are a JB bridge and new style hot rail neck...i like the JB so far but i may switch it out for something with a bit more low end in the future, not sure yet. graphite nut, graphite saddles, schaller mini locking tuners, black hardware (obviously lol), 500K CTS pots, orange drop cap, switchcraft jack and switch yadda yadda yadda. this thing plays amazing with the oil finished neck and monster size (6100ish) frets and 12quot; radius oh and before anyone asks. it says quot;schecterquot; on the headstock (to go with the origin of the body) in the vintage style USA font they used on their quot;strat headsquot; at the time.
(it pays to make your own decals lol).

due to the fact that when I'm on the quot;Americanquot; channel of my Chubster 40, the volume actually starts to decrease once the pre gets up to '6' (with the master on 10). I'm using this approach in an attempt to sustain the clean as much as possible since this channel just can't keep up in a gig scenario.

I'd like to try another bridge humbucker and replace a DD.I have a white Hot Rails Neck I could trade or even the DD.I'm thinking maybe a Custom or a '59.Just something not quite as hot as the DD ,that thing really rips.

... such as the Fender SRV Signature Strat for example, do you live with the staggered polepiece single coils or switch to flat polepiece pickups?

I have a Dean Edge 1 Bass and I want to put new pickups in it, this has been a lesson in futility because it seems that all pickup Makers design for high end stuff, can someone point me in the right direction, they are passive Dean soapbar and I am looking for a quot;no modificationquot; solution.
