Alright, I've finally got the hang of tuning my Ibanez (floating bridge) and now I'm looking to start playing it more, but I want to toss in some new pick-ups. Though, since I know nothing about active pick-ups, I was hoping someone could suggest me a bridge: metal/death metal-ish neck: jazzy/good for sweeps.

My new JB gives me hell
I replaced my duncan custom with a JB last week and I wasn't at all happy with the result. It sounded weak, noisy and twangy. Last night I finally hade the time to measure it up and correctly installed it measures 7,9k.
This cant be right, can it? Since the specsheet says 16k.

Explaining the Dark Side.
First and foremost, I love SDs. Love everything about them, dont care for EMGS and not too big on Dimarzios. BUT i want to try something different, and am thinking about trying some dimarzios on my Schecter C-1 Artist Limited. I originally wanted SH-10b and SH-2n's on my guitar. What Dimarzios are about the same? and can anybody give me a basic rundown on their models? they have way too many and their website doesn't help much.

What key to solo in help, needed soon!!
So I finally get an idea for an intro for our concept album, we get a VERY rough recording of it by slapping some mics up for the drums and a POD XT(which sucks period). We can't record it till I write a freakin solo for it, but no matter what I can't figure out what to play over it! It's not in D, E, I just can't figure it out, if you could even record a possible solo over that would be awsome to give me ideas! HELP!

Tremelo bridge cover
I'd like to cover my tremelo bridge on my strat somehow because I don't want dust and crap getting in the little parts of the bridge, and I rarely use the whammy bar. I thought about getting a chrome bridge cover, but I think it would get in the way of palm muting. Plus I heard those things have a tendency to fall off. Is there any other way I can cover the bridge?
