...what's the clumsiest thing that you have done to a guitar? Shortly after buying a hard case for my Epi 335, I accidentally dropped a DUMBELL weight onto it from a few feet up. That's right, one of those heavy black weights you get on dumbells. It made a BIG bash in the side of my case, but miraculously the guitar was unscathed. Has anyone else done crazy stuff to a guitar? And do you have pics of the damage?

B52
Played that new B52 tube head at length yesterday and am convinced there are alot of very pleasant tones in that head.. And at $699 it would be hard to beat. I know there are alot of amp designers that had input in that head. I tend to be skeptical of the reliability.. Any one heard anything???

Strings keep breaking at the saddle..can teflon help?
my strings wont stop breaking at the saddle of my am dlx strat. I hate this, and i personally think that this specific strat trem really reall sucks compared to the vintage design. The saddles in the vintage one have the rounded off spot where the string is run to the nut, in the 2 point trem, there's one big carved canal for the string to go through. There's much more that could go wrong there IMO.

GC score !!
Just picked up a new Fender USA Hwy 1 tele in 3-tone burst for $371 tax!! (list $899, sticker $629). I also picked up a new quot;Crate Palomino V16quot; class A 15-watt tube amp (these things sound great!!). They couldn't budge on that one at $399 tax because it's a new release, hot item, and they only had one on the floor. In fact, the guy trying it before me had to put $200 down to order the 30 watt version. So to make up for that, they dropped the tele down to the price of a MIM standard.
damn....that's a hell of a deal

It's here.........
And I have hardly been able to put it down for the past 9 hours.
Lately I've bought alot of stellar guitars. A couple Les Pauls, a McCarty, a Firebird, and I've raved about all of them on here, and all of them deserved it.. The McCarty played so easy and had such a glorious singing lead tone. The Firebird is so ergonomic to my body, plays well, and totally does the Michael Schenker/Mathis Jabs thing. The Black Standard has THE classic Les Paul sound and also is hell of a player.
