I just picked up a used strat from the LGS. It's totally lightweight alder/maple with your basic run-o-the-mill pickups, but new CTS pots, new jack and switch. The neck and frets feel great and the color is what I've been after for a long time-Fender Vintage white (#41 on the color chart). from : localhost/fender.com/resources/colors/
Kinda beat so it has that vintage vibe thing going on.

Anyone have a Voodoo modded marshall or other amp, want opinions.
I was looking the the Voodoo web site and I saw that they modified the TSL models. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with any Voodoo mods.

Any reviews on Gibson Special w/ Humbuckers ?
I've owned a ton of Gibson Les Pauls. Most of them were heavy, beautiful, and expensive. Recently, I've been working towards a quot;pay less, play morequot; strategy, and one of Gibson's newer offerings seems to fit right into my slightly less capitalistic, but still capitalistic gassing for Gibsons.

How do you go about getting a guitar re-finished?
I am having a bit of a problem...i have an imported Jackson guitar with a flame-maple top thats painted in an orange-ish cherry sunburst type of finish. The quot;clear coatquot; and paint on it are very cheaply done and any small knock seems to take a chip of paint of the bloody thing. I'm wondering if there is a way to professionally strip the finish off without hurting the flame top. i want to have the guitar re-painted a different color and get a better clear coat put on. I want to get it done transparent red so you can still see the flame top. Also, what kind of a place would do that kind of work on a guitar, and how much would it cost? I'm resigned to the fact that it may be in my best interests to just get a new guitar, but i'd really rather not. Any comments or suggestions are highly appreciated.
