I am looking at this brand new three tone sunburst MIA Deluxe Tele with a rosewood fret board. It sounds really good and the action is nice. I've played almost every type of electrics (Strat, Jassmaster, Jaguar, Mustang, LP, SG, Flying V, Xpress, and semi hollow bodies) with single coil and humbucker pickups except a Tele. Do any you Tele Gurus recommend this guitar? Is there anything I should be aware of? I would appreciate it if you guys can help me out. I play all kinds of music except Rap...well, never mind the Rap part.

Hi there, If i wanted to change my stock Peavey Classic 50 speakers with better ones would the tone improve alot? What differences would you hear?
I would like to hear a smoother less grainy sound especially in the bass frequencies, and less harshness at higher volumes.

I'd like to get some recommendations for a set of humbuckers for a Les Paul Special. Jass/JB? Pearly Gates/Custom? Something else?
I like raw rock tones - a la Keef with overdrive. I like BEEF, but need to cut through the mix. I play live, and also need versatility (clean to AC/DC raunch).

THIS head is MINT, it has been sitting in my music room 2 years, the tubes are not even broke in , it is not what i was looking for sound wise, any way , here is what i have--- it has a switch for 100/60 w 5 band EQ- 3x channels-footswitch board amp; cord bag amp; manual- i also have the amp cord, but NO cover for the amp head---- THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TEARS ,BUt the footswitch has a very small little dent, (my slide fell of the amp amp; hit it) I have a VHT 50 CL amp; prefer it to the boogie so its FS $$ 1000 amp; i'll SPLIT the SHIPPING .. Just finished installing some s in my new HT Select and made some slight mods to the wiring to make it easier to get around. First off, I installed an Alnico Pro 2 neck and Duncan Distortion bridge. These are a slight variation on Seymour's fave Jazz/JB combo, same idea I think but a little farther in each direction. think of a warm, smooth, singing Allman Bros solo, In Memory Of Elizabeth... or something along those lines - and that's the sound I hear from this pickup. The Bridge just sings and soars and screams with harmonics all over the place. I'm not susually a fan of high-gain pickups but this might be the best bridge pickup around for Classic-Hard Rock in a mahogany bodied guitar. I first tried a Pearly Gates in the bridge since I have a bunch of Duncans around, but it didn't have enough guts so I put the DD in there just to see what it sounded like. I also have a brand new C5 that I was going to use but I think I may just leave to DD in there now. It's a blast.

I'm selling my white DiMarzio Clip-lok strap. I had it on the strat I just built, but I decided to go with a nice Levy's strap and some Schallers, it seemed to fit that axe better. The strap is in great condition, it's about a year old. No cuts or tears, just a little bit of discoloration that you'd expect on a bright white strap. It's seat belt material, so it'd be easy to bleach back up.

I want to use some thread inserts to mount my pickups to my guitar. Does anybody know the size of screws are required on SD pickups?
