Here is a method I have used for blocking a Floyd Rose (preventing it from going sharp) that works extremely well. You do have to file and shave the wood piece until it fits perfectly. You also need to use a couple really small wood screws to hold the block in place if you plan to still depress the bar and make the strings go flat....
The cool thing about this method is you can't tell be looking at the front if the guitar that the trem is blocked.

after getting a 120 watt combo amp ive realized that for traveling i need something smaller than my 30 watt crate. ill be going on a cruise and to camp soon and i dont want to lug around a heavy amp in order to have good tone. ill be selling my crate for 250$. whats the best small amp i can get with solid distortion and just a good overall lead tone for under 250$. i dont really want to get over 25 watts. thanks

I'm working on my strat and was wondering what a good height for my antiquities to start out with? I'm also continuing to get a faint but annoying grounding hum from my guitar that goes away after touching any metalic part of the guitar and gets excessively worse as the gain goes up. I do expect some more with an increase in gain, but this is worse than usual. I started with a neck/mid tone and bridge tone set up had the hum, looked everything over and switched it back to the stock strat schematic that came with the Ants. Hum is still there. What may I be missing or am I going to have to do the Guitarnuts.com shielding job?

I got a Jackson KE-3 for a steal so I'm going to spend the savings on a KE-2 pickup configuration (SH-2N and TB-4). The quot;duncan designedquot; quot;detonatorsquot; on it right now are pretty questionable.

Am I crazy for selling my 4x12 to downsize to a 2x12? I had the 4x12 for about 2 or so years and within that time I only had moved it about 6 times and it got to be such a pain in the ass considering the thing weighed 130 lbs and was big and bulky. I decided to downsize to a 2x12 because its not to big or bulky and its alot more portable and I would like to take my Mesa to jam with people. Anyone else ever downsized from a 4x12 to a 2x12 because of the portability issue?

is it true that emg's dont loose signal or anything like passives with wireles guitar systems, that they keep sounding exactly the same even with cheap systems ?????????
