I was looking through muscians friend and noticed this little amp, and was boggled by the price.

How would you guys describe the sounds of these two types of pickups, individually and in relation to each other? I know that they are two very different types of pickups and it might be akin to comparing single coils with full sized humbuckers, but humor me please. Thanks

For a 1x12 extension cab for my 1x12 Marshall JTM30 combo

if I get replacement pickups should the neck be RWRP? I wanted to try out Rio Grande's soapbar pickups and I notice their neck models are RWRP by default.

Thinking about a Crate V8 or V16. Any opinions on either and how much louder would the 15 watts be compared to 8. Do these amps have the same tone, but different volume etc? Looking for something with bedroom or basement type volumes but awesome tone.

Is this amp good for the blues? I want to start a new arena blues movement and I'm gonna need a lot of power. Six of these lined up behind me ought to be enough don't you think? With a slew of Marshall 4x10 and 4x12 stacks. It'll be pretty loud which is zackly what i want loud, modern, rockin blues.

i just ordered me a honey blonde nashville tele (rosewood fretboard), im going to make a new pickguard set up for a SLS1N SLS1RWRP (lipstick tubes in the neck and middle) my question is, what bridge pup will match the lipstick tubes well? i dont want to have a bridge pup way louder that everything else. im making this a low output setup. (i cant wait, its going to be fun messing with another guitar) im still trying to decide the pots and switch changes.....so anyway what bridge pup would you put in a setup like that? it looks like my choices are APTL-1, STL-1, STL52-1, APTL-3JD...i should note that this guitar will not be used for distortion, mainly fingerpicking and mellow jazz/blues stuff

At first note, I liked this pickup for its smooth, round tone character with a nice hollow element. Its complex without being too thick on the bottom end. Compared to a 59n, I'd say that it's not quite as sensetive, but a bit more balanced. The notes don't jump out at you, but the pickup is pretty responsive to pick attack. It balances very well with a Seth Lover in the bridge position; it does not over-power, like some neck pickups tend to do when you use a PAF style pickup in the bridge position.
It's similar to the Seth Lover neck and the PG neck in smoothness. I think it has a slight bit more chime on the top end
