how do you recognize one? does it have a really obvious MIJ stamped on the bottom of it?

The local classic rock station played a Doors Spotlight thing this weekend, and it reminded me of how cool Robby Krieger's tone is on some of their songs. His playing is usually overshadowed by Ray Manzarek's organ, and he's not exactly a guitar god, but man did that guy get some great clean and medium-gain tones. I especially like quot;Break On Throughquot; in that regard, as well as quot;Peace Frogquot; (in which he actually plays a very good harmonized solo).

Hi, I'm a bit of a Hendrix fan and so I've bought a left handed US standard strat which (being right handed) I've turned upside down and restrung right handed. My question is which replacement pickups will get me closest to hendrix's set up - I was going to say Hendrix sound, but, having listened to Driving South twenty times this weekend, only Hendrix had Hendrix's sound.

I have a '59 neck in zebra w/ 4-conductor wiring.
