I just realized i really like the schecter c-1 it looks really nice. What would it sound like?

Like hell and thunder and fire and brimstone all rolled into one ****in lump of mohogany!

Love mine, sounds orgasmic! Thick, crunchy, tons of sustain. Great price, too! Plays extremely nice, low action, perfect neck.

DSS-How's that custom/Jazz combo in there? (Jazz...really????)

I've been eyeing the C-1 FR with an original Floyd rose-pretty sweet ride for about 500-600. I only wish they had a few more finish options in that model.

That Jazz kicks ass! Clean, bright, glassy, and very articulate. Never muds up. Pretty much the be-all-end-all vintage output neck pickup for metal/shred.

Keep in mind I said vintage output. This doesn't unclude the Demon, Full Shred, Distortion, or JB in the neck .

Thanks, that was the RR-1 with a JB in the bridge at the time, no neck pickup used.

There are quite a few c-1 models out there. With a few different scale sizes and such. I have the C-1 Plus, before they changed a few things on it and they are fairly bright and hot.

schecter makes amazing guitars. The imports have great quality/features/price and the US custom shops are INSANE. My custom usa scorpion will eat my music man petrucci and my ibanez s2120 for breakfast (weight, looks, playability, sound, you name it). Amazing guitars.

Anyone using the C-1 for Blues or Classic Rock?

I figure with a mahogany body and set neck but with dual-cutaways they'd be prime for some great warm sounds.

i've borrowed that guitar from a body of mine and i used it for fusion and carlos santana tye stuff its a great guitar, and skarekrough i played blues with it with the pickups split and it was awesome

Yep, I am. Mine is loaded with a Pearly Gates set and it sounds killer. I play a little jazz/fusion type stuff too.

i'd like a C-1 FR please... any doners?

I had a chance to play a C-1 semi-hollow with the peizzo. Amazing. GC Cincinnati had one, and I think it lasted about 2 days before it was gone. Haven't seen another one since. Anyway, very warm and fat. Very, very, very nice guitar, I just couldn't buy it at the time, or I likely would have.

Get a C-1 BlackJack Duncan JB and 59 with a 5 way switch. That guitar rules. (I have the 006 BlackJack which is basically the same guitar with a different body shape) The duncans sound great tapped and have tons of output.

Lol, I dunno about you guys, but the 006 feels a lot more natural to me. I don't know why, my ESP's the same size as the C series, but they just feel awkward when playing. Whatever, great guitars though, I like the 006 and S series a lot.
