I understand the Tele slant is 15 degrees vs. 10 for the Strat.
But I'm curious about the quot;pivotquot; on the slant of a Tele vs. Strat. If you were to hypothetically turn a Strat pickup to match the slant of a Tele, would the quot;pivot pointquot; be in the middle or on one of the ends?
In other words, is the treble side on the Tele closer to the bridge than a Strat, or is it in the same place and the bass side of the Tele is farther away, or is it a little of both (meaning quot;pivotquot; in the middle)?
I haven't measured it, but I suspect it's a bit of both, given the deeper tone on the the low strings and sharper highs on the high strings of a Tele vs. a Strat.
I think the Tele and Stra pickup line up on the pole piece of the high E string, the res of the Tele pickup is closer to the neck. I'll haqve to measre it, though.
I had a Tele pickup in a Strat for a while, amp; I tried to put it in the normal Tele spot, I was surprised at how close to the middle it was.
