I want to see pics of your Schecters NOW! Also, recommend me one 400 or less, used price of course. I'm blown away that I never noticed these guitars before.
C-1, C-1 , C-1 Stealth, C-1 Blackjack, etc, etc.
If you really want a killer guitar, save up an extra 150 and spring for a used C-1 Classic. Neck thru and stock Duncans.
Mine's in my sig.

Now it has a real Duncan Distortion in the bridge with no chrome cover.
80's MIA Schecter quot;tele stylequot; guitar will be in my hands in the next few weeks...it's on layaway at the moment...it looks like theseTo me the 00 series feels WAY better than the C1, so I'd check those out too but the 006 blackjack is one sick guitar, unfortunately the 007 has a single which is meh.
^I totally agree with that. I've got an 006 Deluxe ($299 brand new). I stuck a Jazz/Custom set in there and it rocks just as hard as any other sub-$1000 guitar out there. The neck is one of the fastest I've ever played - 16quot; radius, 1 5/8quot; nut, slightly thicker than an Ibanez Wizard. and an awesome satin finish. The body is that satin transparent red color. It looks aweful in the pictures but fantastic in person. I get comments all the time on how cool it looks, and everyone who plays it assumes it's in the $700 range.
I've also played a PT blackjack, C1 , and C1 Artist. They're all great guitars but I deffinatly prefer the feel and tone of the 006.
Here's my early 90's Los Angeles made Schecter Tele. The stock pickups sound pretty good, although my next move will be a set of Duncan Tele Hot Leads - tapped. Last weekend, I played the new Schecter semi hollow 12 string. That was one incredible guitar for $599 new!!! I've never really wanted an electric 12 string, till I played that one.
my 1982 schecter USA strat head...
my #1 guitar which is part schecter...the body is NOS USA made schecter...
C-1 XXX...
Limited edition P90 Tempest gold top (with emg p85 pickups)...
that's all the schecters for now but i have my eye on a few more new ones and old ones.

X,
I still dig that blue one...I think that might be my fav of your collection...BTW, I saw one of those XXX's at my local GC the other day...brand new, I thought those were a limited edition?!
thanks!! the blue schecter/strat is actually my #1 guitar...man i love that thing, i'm still trying to top it lol. as for the XXX they are a guitar center only run from what i was told by schecter when i asked. they were supposed to be a limited run but then they started selling good so GC brought them back or kept having them made i should say. also the new ones have that cool ultra acess heel where it feels like a neck through almost...very nice. mine has the older style heel (still comfy) but i still love it, it was #1 for quite some time before the blue schecter came along. the twistedcaster was #1 for a short time but it was more like a tie with the XXX lol.

Omen 6. Wish it played as well as it looks
It has the heaviest basswood body ever (heavier than my mahogany paul, which is light fairly) and is simultaneously not meaty enough and too thin. I've probably got a few pickup switches in the works before I give up on it.
It has strings on it now. I've got a cool wiring setup in it though (switches)
slade
I'm strongly looking at a Damien series basswood body with EMG HZ's. The local shop has one and it's in my price range, plus i know the guy that works there and he'll get me a good deal.
Whatever happened to the C-1 FR? The one with the OFR, bound body and neck with no inlays. I see a C-1 Floyd Rose but there's no binding on the neck and the neck joint is different if I remember right.

You tried talking to a dealer?

Nope. I don't have the money right now. But I know the specs on websites are always quot;subject to change without noticequot; so that's probably what happened. Putting an Original Floyd Rose on a 600 dollar guitar involves cutting some corners I'm guessing the neck binding is the way to go.
Maybe that one's new? It does say OFR on there doesn't it...nice.
Remember that Musiciansfriend, etc. didn't change the picture for the Viper 400 when the new one came out.
Might serve to call them up, calling never hurts, it's free.
I might just do that. I just played a sweet jam with my strat and it did the trick but nothing up high since I don't have a high e. haha
