Can anyone help me out with a diagram or advice on how to wire up a SH1 JB pickup, with one volume one tone, and a 3 way blade switch that has 8 soldering points-4 solder points on each side of the switch, also using a 500k volume pot and a 250k tone pot. I took this pickup set, pots, and resistor out of a Jackson Soloist and put it in new pickguard for my 84 Strat, they sound great in the Jackson but sound dull, muddy and lifeless in the strat. The Jackson had a 3 way toggle switch that was left in the Jackson, and I purchased a new 3 way blade switch for the Strat. I just want a standard setup, Switch in rear position-bridge pickup, switch in middle position-both pickups, switch in front position-bridge pickup. No matter what I have tried it just sounds like something is not wired right to the 3 way blade switch or the positon of the resistor is wrong, and s website has no diagram showing how to wire 2 humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3 Way Blade Switch. Anyone that can help me out would be a life saver-Thanks.

I don't have a schematic but I can tell you how to do it. You'll need to use both sides of the switch.C 3-2 1 neck
1-2 3 C bridge
Those are the terminal locations if you are looking at the bottom of the switch at the terminals. Connect the bridge pickups hot lead to the #1 terminal on the side closest to you (as diagramed) and run a piece of wire to the #2 terminal (as shown).
Connect the neck pickup to the #3 terminal on the opposite side of the switch and run a piece of wire from the neck #3 to the neck #2 terminal.
Run another piece of wire to connect the common quot;Cquot; terminals and another piece of wire from one of the quot;Cquot; terminals to the hot terminal (usually outer #3) of the volume pot. The volume and tone pots will be wired either by running a cap from the #3 volume pot terminal to the #2 (middle) terminal on the tone pot with a jumper from the tone pot #1 terminal to ground (like a Les Paul) or by soldering a piece of wire from the #3 volume pot terminal to the #2 tone pot terminal, with the cap connected from the tone pot #1 terminal to the chassis of the tone pot (ground) in a simular fashion to a Strat.
I know that might be confusing but once you get the switch wiring right the volume and tone pots will wire same as stock.
Use an ohm meter and check your pot values, you may have damaged one during removal/re-installation and too much heat can cook a pot. Also check your solder joints, a bad connection will suck tone and output.
Thanks Robert, I will give your suggestion a try
