For those of you who have slotted a Tune-o-matic saddle, what tool did you use?
A fine file and some sandpaper.
tape off the top of the saddle and measure the middle.Lightly notch the top of each saddle,then pull the tape off.Use your thumb as a guide and draw,(going in one motion),a slot no deeper than 1/2 to 3/4 of each string deep.
Use the sandpaper to remove any burrs.
I'm going to be trying to deepen the middle saddles a bit so that it has a flatter radius. Will a nut file work, or will it ruin the file?
Just be gentle,let the file do the cuting and don't apply any pressure to it.
