Has anyone tried to run an no load tone pot (or no tone pot) with EMG pickups? I am considering swapping out the demon and 59 from my viper and replacing them with an 85 bridge and 89 neck. I am a little worried about these pickups being too dark so I am thinking about trying to make a no-load tone pot to keep some of the bite. Are both the volume and tone pots 25K? If so wouldn't the 25K tone pull away much more highs than a normal 250K or 500K pot for a passive pickup. I have run no load tone pots on guitars with duncans and got very positive results (the gain in treble is subtle) but would this be a very drastic change on a pot that only has a 25K load?

Hey everyone, yet again I have done something stupid to one of my long suffering axes.

This is one of those questions I'm asking merely because I want to know the answer, but here goes... is it worth copper shielding the control cavity of an EMG loaded guitar? Although EMGs themselves are fairly immune to interference, wouldn't the controls themselves still be subject to it? My second thought was that if you did do this, would it cause a mess of ground loops through contact with the pots (based on EMG's diagrams)?

Boss half-rack multi-effet, front is mint, back as minor dings. Perfect working order. Algorhythm for guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals. Includes manual and P/S. This thing is tweakable to death. I'll add photos later today.

I need to improve my vibrato technique. Im talking about the typical rock up n down type. The guitarist in my band says i dont have much control over it and i have been working on it before. Has anybody got any tips? Help would be great.
