Other than the earliest magnets being a bit wider than the later ones according to the book quot;Beauty Of The Burstquot;,is it quite possible that one of these LPs could have had an A2 bridge pickup and an A3,A4.or A5 in the neck or vice versa?

On 2 and 3-piece bodies, are the pieces just butted together and glued? Do they generally use dowels, or quot;biscuitsquot;, or tongue-and-groove? Any of those techniques, or just a straight, flat butt?

I really hate to be doing this, but I need to pay bills and eat so my Charvel 25th Anniversary Strat (#49 of 86) is going up on the block. I don't have any pics at the moment, but most of you here should be familar with them (see for more info). The guitar is in excellent to near mint condition with virtually zero playing wear (less than 20hrs total play time). I purchased the guitar in Dec 2004 and I still have all of the original paperwork and hang tag. The original Gamp;G HSC will also be included.

I recently set my string height a little lower for quicker playing but I was wondering if anybody knew an exact way to set string heights as far as lowest possible action without fret buzz and what not. If so what can it be measured with and what not. I play an American Standard strat with stock saddles if that helps any. I will be switching out with some graphtech saddles soon so I'm really worried about putting those on and not being able to get my action set.

It gives me just a bit more high end, just enough to get out of quot;modern pickupquot; territory. It's about 10k. Still has plenty of bottom and sustain, but with a bit more clarity and sparkle. Which is nice.

Ok, so forget about balancing with other pickups or keeping the Strat vibe or whatever, and yes I know it will never sound exactly like my LP.

Had my first band practice in forever yesterday, and I found while messing around with my amp and stuff at practice volumes that my DS-1 doesn't really change anything tonally when the volume's up past 7. I get more feedback but that's it, the amp's natural distortion doesn't get any thicker. What exactly is going on here? How can I get more gain?

Hi! I have a ric 650 sierra for sale. It's basically a 650d with 24k gold plated hardware. The guitar is in near mint condition with microscopic scratches on the body. I've replaced the original bridge pickup with a Custom Shop Dimarzio gold covered ToneZone which sounds much better than the stock did. I will reinstall the original pickup if requested.Even Ed Roman thinks this guitar rocks! ! ! from : localhost/template.edroman.com/tech/vancampen.htm . And there is no neck heal from hell as that picture is takened from a biased angle. I will also include the original hardcase which is the nicest case i've ever seen and the original documentations. My asking price is $700 as it seems to be the going rate for this guitar now and also i need to make some money back as i brought this guitar for $900 from Rudy's music here in NY. I still have the reciept to prove it. My price is negotiable since i've been wanting to sell this guitar for a while. I will post up pics as soon as i can. I'm looking for a good US strat or some other high quality guitar. Thanks.

Hey guys, I was wondereing if there are tapped rw/rp Single Coils? Never saw one before...
And if there are none, how can I mod a non-rw/rp to have the effect of one?

I know set neck offer excellent sustain generally but how do neck thru body desings do I have never owned one but I Am likley going to get one. With an origianal floyd rose. Any info would be appreciated greatly.
