I was playing down in my nation's delightful capital city this weekend. There's a guy down there who's setting up a guitar shop specializing in premium gear, a first for this country, and conveniently right across the street from the venue I was playing. He wasn't set up yet, and was busy sanding and painting, but had remembered me from an email about a month ago and had a suhr strat and Victoria tweed twin in the back room just in case I popped by. Cool!

I've been looking for a decent program to get started in PC recording, so I picked up a copy of Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3, along with an M-Audio Fast Track USB interface. I'm pretty new to the whole recording aspect of guitar playing, so I'm wondering if you guys can clarify something for me. I'm currently using a Soundblaster Audigy card, but it's one of the older Audigy models. Does the USB interface work with the sound card, or in place of it? From what I understand, I should get a much cleaner signal going through the USB unit than if I were plugging directly into the sound card. But do I need to upgrade the sound card as well to get the most out of my recording setup? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ima big Slash fan hence the fascination with the Alnico II pro (for the neck at least). Im also a big JB fan..just wondering if this 2 would be a suitable pair...ala 59/JB or Jazz/JB...Im a little concern about the output balance since from what i understand the Alnicos are relatively low output vs. the relatively high output of the JB...so if anyone has tried this combo before or has opinions on it, i sure would appreciate the feedback!

I recently aquired a Supro 16T from the 60's. It has an 8quot; speaker and a wicked tremelo.

Does the Custom have the same kind of harmonics and dynamics as the Distortion? I really love the sh-6 but I would prefer abit more lowend.
