Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I get my H-207 playing at a point where I like it most of the time I have to go and try out this monster from : localhost/Mother of Pearl, she's a sweetheart. I've gone from hating active pickups to making an exception for the almighty 707's. The longer scale length (26.5quot;) makes the strings snap in brilliance, and it's almost impossible to notice the difference with your left hand. The only thing is that I didn't have to fight the urge to buy some bigger strings for it at the store to try it out properly, AMAZING. The neck was big enough to fill up my whole hand but not make anything unplayable, I ripped on it for an hour and a half straight and no sign of left hand fatigue what-so-ever. It almost brought a tear to my eye. The pots and tuners are top notch, solid but smooth in operation. The action was deadly, I usually like my action a little high but this thing had no buzz anywhere to speak of, and was LOW.....heehee.

Bass strings
I have two sets of D'addario roundwound bass strings (4 string) that I'd like to trade for a couple of quality sets of flatwounds. If anyone has any they'd be willing to trade for, let me know!

rewaxing the magnet in my JB pickup?
I've got a JBJ BUT there is little sustain at high volumes and it feedbacks rather easily, too easily. I remember a thread awhile back suggesting that rewaxing the magnet would elimate this problem.

Is the Classic Strat Stack for me? What about bridge HB?
I love the tone of my Peavey Tracer, but the stock single-coils sound a bit thin for my tastes. I want something with the sweet glassy sound of Alnico 2 magnets with a lot of warmth. I basically want a fat single-coil sound with all the clarity, definition, and character of a traditional single-coil. Nothing extreme though, I only really like vintage-voiced pickups.
