I'm looking to buy a Boogie with a Mk or Mk inspired tone (basically anything thats not Rectifier stuff) and am not sure what to do. I love the Mk IV and am really interested in one but also like the idea of the MIDI controlled Quad Pre's even though they (the DIDI ones) seem rare. Is the Studio Pre basically a stripped down Quad Preamp? I don't really need the whole Mk IV now that I think about it but I don't know if I'd need the extra features of the Quad if the Studio is similar. Anyone?

IDEA***How about a sheilding kit-included with any of their regular single coils (as a kit w/pickup options) --this way the pups already come with copper sheilding around the coil's themselfs -- and the covers would have had their insides sprayed with lead paint and grounded to the copper. ---Because thats the hardest part-- doing the sheilding to the covers and coils----so let production handle that part.

If you have a twin combo what would look for to get the best tone out of the amp mixing the model/make of speakers or maching speakers? and why?

A guitar that really doesn't work with your hands and you hate the way it feels but it just sounds so damn good? Anyone have one?

I Had installed the Hot Rod Humbucker set in my Les Paul on monday.... (sh-2n amp; sh-4b) although these are FANTASTIC pickups they just didnt suit my taste.... So I sold them to a buddy of mine.
